Comments Off on Free Riding at OWC | Raw Clips | Boat Wakeboarder on Cable

I wasn’t originally planning on making this a video, however, I decided it might be nice for you all to see that often even the pros crash, come off rails early, and miss grabs! I hope you enjoy this short and sweet video. Thanks to @John Haile for filming. David Details

Comments Off on Lunar Wake Park Review – Spain, 2022

As you may have seen in some of my recent videos, I’ve been cable wakeboarding in the South of Spain at Lunar Wake Park. I decided to review the cable so that anyone looking to travel to this wake park can have some insight. This video covers all the key aspects: Details

Comments Off on How to hit a big kicker! Wakeboarding Tutorial

So on day two of my trip to Lunar wakepark, I realised that unless you’re super advanced, you probably don’t know how to go over big ramps/kickers. I noticed Tim was struggling a little with getting the line, pop and landing perfect as the kickers in our home park are smaller. So after teaching him I decided to make an instructional video. Comments Off on My first Wakeboard Session of 2022 – feeling rusty!

We’re back!!! Finally back on the water after almost two full month! I flew to Lunar Wake Park in the south of Spain to get some ‘warm weather riding’ in. It’s a new cable that opened in 2020 and I’ve been wanting to go ride there since I first saw some photos! Whilst I felt very rusty on my wakeboard, it did feel amazing to be out on the water and hitting some obstacles! My fitness levels were a little disappointing but nothing a whole lot of wakeboarding can’t fix. Hope you enjoy the video. David Details

Small Wake Wakeboarding!

Whilst in Orlando, Florida I went to Lake Holden to meet up with my friend John Dreiling. He is mostly known for his incredible wake park riding skills. He often does some crazy gaps which break the internet and go viral. All this said, lately he has been riding the boat and doing a damn good job of it. He purchased a house on the lake, and it came with a free ski boat from the 1990s. He has added a pylon and is pushing and changing the way people are wakeboarding on the boat. I hope you enjoy the video. David Details

Comments Off on Wakeboarding at OWC, Orlando, Florida

A wakeboarder can’t visit Florida without going to Orlando Watersports complex for a session. OWC is one of the most historical and important cable parks there has ever been. On any given day, there are tons of pro wakeboarders hanging out there. A big part of the reason for that is because Orlando is a hub for pro wakeboarding, but also because the park is pretty good too. In this video I go for a ride, get some GoPro and slo-mo shots going off the kickers. Hopefully you enjoy the video and thanks for watching. David Details

Comments Off on The Flip DockStart – The most difficult trick in wakeboarding

The front flip dock start on the wakeboard has always been challenging for me!!! I bumped into a guy at the cable here who has only been riding for three months and could do it, so naturally I had to crack into it and give them a go! I hope you enjoy the video. David Details

Comments Off on Wakeboarding – Learning to Tantrum, mistakes everyone makes!

The Tantrum is one of the most basic and popular flips/inverts to learn in wakeboarding. It’s essentially a heel side backflip. There are some very common mistakes people make both on the boat and the cable. Details

Comments Off on Best Wakeboarding Park in the World!

After travelling the world, from America to Singapore, Thailand, Australia – and everywhere between, my favourite park to wakeboard at is still Ballyhass Lakes in Cork, Ireland. There are 3 things that make a great wakepark: 1. The Atmosphere and Vibe! 2. The Obstacles. 3. The conditions – Weather, temperature and wind. Whilst Ballyhass can be cold and wet, it always has the best vibes that make you want to have fun and progress your riding. The lads down there are 10/10! The obstacles are well maintained and useable for both beginners and advanced riders. Thanks so much for watching this short video and stay tuned for more! Details

Comments Off on How to Raley on a Wakeboard – Superman

One trick that’s very impressive, and not actually too difficult to do, is the ‘Raley’. It’s effectively a Superman on a wakeboard. Here’s a little tutorial on how to do one and, most importantly, the easiest way to learn it is off a kicker. I hope the video helps you nail it! David Details

Comments Off on Wakeboarding – boosting from the FunBox

I went into WakeDock for a last minute ride. The weather was insane, especially for September, and so I just sessioned the park. I turned up the speed and tried gapping the big FunBox. I honestly didn’t think going that bit faster would make the gap so easy, but it actually wasn’t too bad, though a little scary. I think so much is possible on it if I get comfortable with the speed. Thanks so much to the guys at WakeDock in Dublin for having me in and I hope you enjoy the little short wakeboarding video – which is fully filmed on my GoPro Hero 8. David Details

How to Raley on a Wakeboard

When it comes to doing ‘Raleys’ (superman on a wakeboard), there are many ways. Behind a boat, off a kicker and even the air raley. I originally learnt it off a kicker (despite being more of a boat rider at the time) as it’s just a whole lot easier and less dangerous. Hopefully this tutorial will help you try it. Thanks for watching. David Details

Comments Off on 10 Year Old Wakeboard – What is Possible?

The lake was a bit windy and choppy so I decided to bust out my old O’Brien Coda from 9 or 10 years ago. I was always a massive fan of the board and as it turns out I still am. It’s a lovely board to ride and very predictable. Hope you enjoy the little challenge video. David Details
